Our Nonprofit's Mission
B Inspired D.A.N.C.E. Club is made possible by the support of the B Inspired D.A.N.C.E. Foundation (BIDF). A 501(c)(3) nonprofit, community-based, extracurricular student program offered in partnerships with schools and districts that aligns dance education with the philosophies of Social Emotional Learning and Character Development (SEL/SECD).
Why it Matters
B Inspired D.A.N.C.E. Club was created to help the whole child succeed by filling a void of social-emotional learning and character development, arts exposure and physical education in scholastic offerings. By providing inspiring mentorship and quality training in a school environment, students can grow and thrive in all areas of life no matter what circumstances they come from.
What is the Cost?
B Inspired D.A.N.C.E. Club is fully funded by the 501(c)3 nonprofit, B Inspired D.A.N.C.E. Foundation. All costs to students' and their families are covered by our generous donations and sponsorships.
Covering the Basics
We aim to provide every aspect of what a student might need in a desire to eliminate any barriers for participation including instruction, space, class supplies, transportation, and snacks.
Grow with Us
At B Inspired D.A.N.C.E. Club (BIDC) we teach students social-emotional skills and lead them to build positive character traits using the Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning (CASEL) frameworks and applying them through dance education. We hope to inspire students to build wellness habits that will carry them throughout life. Our hope is for students to continue with the BIDC program as they approach high-school graduation and provide scholarship opportunities for higher education.
The Instructor
Currently, all classes are taught by Brooke Ivory, the Founder, CEO and Executive Director of the nonprofit B Inspired D.A.N.C.E. Foundation. She is a certified Social-Emotional Learning and Character Development (SECD) Specialist with over 35 years of dance and performance training, and over 15 years of teaching dance. She is passionate about the impact dance can have on people of all ages, but especially how it can be utilized to help youth in underserved areas. Brooke is a vibrant force of inspiration who possesses the gift to authentically connect with and empower the people she works with.
